Krono Bauhaus
Model History
Presented in 1987 at the Basel fair, the Krono Bauhaus is the first watch to carry the Alain Silberstein name and remains the most identity-defining model in his catalogue: a colored triangle, square and circle for the crown and pushers replace the usual shapes, while a small day-of-the-week indicator, designed as a stylized face, adds a playful note to an otherwise serious automatic chronograph. A second version, the Krono Bauhaus II, arrived in 1993 with a slightly larger case and redesigned pushers.

The name "Bauhaus" is not a simple aesthetic nod: Silberstein trained at a Paris design school that followed the actual Bauhaus curriculum, and has often said that this education gave him "the ability to find himself" as a designer, even before becoming a watchmaker.
