Model History
Launched in 2001, the Militare stands out immediately for a technical peculiarity: the crown is not in the usual 3 o'clock position, but at 6 o'clock, an idea some trace back to the French ZRC military diver's watches of the 1960s, where a similar crown relocation served to protect it from accidental impacts during operational dives. The dial features large numerals at 12, 8 and 4 o'clock, an aesthetic trait that has become recognizable across the whole line.
In 2017, for the brand's twentieth anniversary, Anonimo presented a limited edition of the Militare Chrono in bronze — by then an identity-defining material for the house — with a 43.5 mm case, a titanium case back (to prevent the bronze's natural patina from irritating the skin), an automatic Sellita SW300 movement and a camouflage dial that explicitly recalls the model's military soul, available in military green or dark brown.
After the headquarters moved to Switzerland in 2015, later versions of the Militare moved the crown to 12 o'clock, a solution that recalls the Omega Bullhead and vintage Spirotechnique chronographs — a stylistic evolution of the original layout rather than a return to the conventional 3 o'clock position.

The Militare's off-position crown is not an isolated stylistic flourish: it recalls a solution already seen on French military diver's watches from the 1960s, designed to keep the setting mechanism away from accidental knocks during operational dives — a technical detail turned into a distinctive trait of Anonimo's aesthetic.
