The model's distinctive feature is the "open heart" — an aperture on the dial that reveals part of the balance wheel and escapement mechanism in motion, a decorative element dear to classic watchmaking, here made accessible on a hand-wound calibre derived from the Unitas base, one of the most widely used and appreciated mechanical foundations in Swiss watchmaking tradition for its simplicity and reliability.
