Model History
Presented in 2005, the BR 01 marks the moment Bell & Ross found a visual language entirely of its own. The idea behind it is as simple as it is radical: take the shape of the instruments mounted on aircraft instrument panels — a circular dial set into a squared body, fixed by screws at the corners — and turn it into an actual wristwatch, at reduced scale but faithful in its overall layout.
With a 46 mm case, the BR 01 does not go unnoticed: the size choice is deliberately consistent with its instrument-panel origins, designed to be read at a glance even in difficult conditions, more than to fit traditional wristwatch size conventions. The dial, essential in its layout, always favors maximum contrast between background and indices over purely decorative solutions.
Over time the BR 01 has become the platform on which the brand has built dozens of variants and special editions — from skeletonized models inspired by military or aeronautical themes to executions in materials such as carbon, titanium and rose gold — while always keeping the original 2005 layout recognizable, which has since become the distinctive trait of the entire brand.

The four visible screws at the corners of the BR 01's case are not a simple aesthetic flourish: they echo the mounting screws with which circular instruments are fitted onto real aircraft instrument panels — a detail the brand wanted to keep functional, not merely decorative, to stay faithful to the object that inspired the design.
