Model History
Presented in 2019, the BR 05 represents a major turning point for Bell & Ross: it is the brand's first model designed from the outset with an integrated metal bracelet, where the first link visually merges with the case into a single continuous line. The brand marketed it as an "urban instrument" — an instrument no longer designed for an aircraft cockpit, but for everyday city life — while keeping intact the stylistic signature of the circular dial set into a square case that has always defined Bell & Ross.
The launch came at a time when several Swiss brands were returning to steel sports watches with integrated bracelets, a genre made famous in the 1970s by designer Gérald Genta and now strongly back in fashion in contemporary watchmaking. The BR 05 taps into this trend while offering an aesthetic recognizable and distinct from that of the segment's better-known competitors, staying faithful to the "instrument" idea dear to the brand.
Launched in a 40 mm case, the BR 05 has since grown into a full family: from a 36 mm version designed for smaller wrists, to chronograph, GMT and power reserve variants (up to 41-42 mm), as well as skeletonized executions and cases in black ceramic, rose gold or set with diamonds. In the most recent sales rankings published by trade press, some versions of the BR 05 — in particular the steel and black ceramic variants — consistently rank among the most sought-after models in the entire Bell & Ross catalogue, alongside the BR 03.

Main Executions
In the 2025 roundup of Bell & Ross's best-selling models published by trade outlets, the top spots were occupied almost entirely by black steel or ceramic versions of the BR 05 and BR 03: a sign of how dark, "stealth" finishes have, in recent years, become the trait most sought after by the brand's audience.
