Courage
Collection History
The Courage belongs to BWC's plainer, more utilitarian production, designed for a broad audience rather than chronograph enthusiasts: a compact case, an essential dial and a manually-wound movement, in line with the "military watch" style very widespread between the 1960s and 1970s among mid-tier Swiss brands.
The name itself, which evokes an imagery of solidity and reliability, is consistent with BWC's positioning in those years: the brand produced more elaborate lines in parallel — such as the regatta chronographs — and everyday models like this one, distributed above all in the European markets where BWC had already been present since the 1920s, from Germany to Spain.
The Courage is no longer part of the brand's current catalogue, but it remains one of the easiest BWC vintage pieces to find through specialized dealers and vintage watch platforms, often in surprisingly good condition.

Main Executions
Thanks to a widespread distribution but a lower profile than the era's more celebrated brands, it is not rare today to find Courage pieces in almost new condition, having sat unsold in watch shops for a long time before returning to the collector's market.
