DS Action
Model History
DS Action is today the largest collection in the Certina catalogue, designed to bring the 1959 Double Security concept into a contemporary language and an offering able to appeal to very different audiences: from divers to athletes, to those simply looking for a rugged everyday watch. The name itself, "Action", takes a modern approach to the resilient, tool-watch vocation that has always characterized the DS line since its origins.
The catalogue includes dozens of references divided by case size — from the more compact executions under 36 mm to those above 42 mm — and by function: from diving models, some of which are certified to the ISO 6425 standard for dive watches, to chronographs with a more sporting character, available with either automatic or quartz movement. The cases are made in steel, titanium or ceramic depending on the execution, and the catalogue is divided among men's, women's and unisex models.
Precisely because of its breadth, DS Action today represents the meeting point between the technical heritage of the DS concept — reinforced case, shock and water resistance — and the needs of a wider audience than that of heritage models like the original DS or the DS PH200M, whose spirit it carries forward without reproposing their historical design.

Main Executions
With dozens of references active at once, DS Action is today the largest collection in the Certina catalogue: a breadth that reflects the brand's strategy of offering the DS concept to different audience and price segments, rather than concentrating it in a single flagship model.
