Mr. Daddy 2.0
Model History
Mr. Daddy is one of the most explicit names in the Diesel catalogue — a play on the idea of the "head of the family" and the case's generous volume — later updated into the 2.0 version, today the most widespread and still in production. Compared to the brand's more classic chronographs, this line's distinguishing feature is its multilayer dial: several overlapping levels, often with off-center counters and sunray-effect surfaces, which Diesel itself describes in its product listings as a "detailed dial".
The case, not perfectly round in shape (the most common references measure about 43 x 50 mm), is designed to look even bulkier than its diameter alone would suggest, thanks to a pronounced bezel and multi-tiered machining that plays with light and shadow across the dial. Finishes range from matte black steel to gold-tone or two-tone versions, often paired with steel bracelets with a deployant clasp or thick leather straps.
Like Diesel's other lines, the Mr. Daddy 2.0 is also produced by Fossil Group under license: the chronograph function coexists with a multifunction layout (with a dual time zone on some references), confirming a positioning designed more as a fashion accessory with strong visual impact than as a tool for the high-watchmaking enthusiast.

Main Executions
In its official product listings Diesel simply describes the Mr. Daddy 2.0's dial as a "detailed dial": a deliberately generic description that leaves it to the eye to tell the story of the layers, counters and finishes that make each reference slightly different from the others, while keeping the same scenic layout.
