Collection History
With the Skin Diver, launched in 2021 with the SD-1 reference, Dietrich took a different direction from the sculptural shapes of Organic Time and Time Companion, offering for the first time a more measured reinterpretation of the classic diver archetype, with a compact 38.5 mm case diameter.
The movement is an automatic Sellita SW200 with 26 jewels, a balance beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and a 38-hour power reserve — a solid mechanical base widely used in independent Swiss watchmaking — while the crystal construction is particularly elaborate: a sapphire crystal protects the dial from above, with an intermediate sapphire layer fitted with multiple anti-reflective coatings.
The bezel insert is also made of sapphire, with indices printed on the underside and treated with Super-LumiNova, a construction solution that protects the graphics from wear while maintaining excellent legibility underwater.

Main Executions
Unlike the sculptural shapes of Dietrich's other collections, the Skin Diver adopts a relatively compact diameter (38.5 mm), a choice the brand explains as a wish to stay true to the classic proportions of vintage divers.
