Tazio Nuvolari
Model History
Presented in 1992, the Tazio Nuvolari line is how Eberhard & Co. made explicit, in a single model, the brand's long-standing bond with motor racing. The name honors Tazio Nuvolari, a driver from Mantua who became European Drivers' Champion in 1932 — a title that, in the motorsport of the era, was roughly equivalent to today's Formula 1 championship — and who went down in history as a symbol of talent, courage and determination pushed to the limit.
The black dial, with a raised pyramid Clous de Paris motif, and the pearled bezel engraved with a tachymeter scale in miles per hour directly recall the dashboard aesthetics of vintage racing cars, while the 40 mm case keeps balanced proportions suited to everyday wear. The most recognizable detail, however, remains the yellow "TN" monogram at 9 o'clock, enclosed in a turtle-shaped motif: a direct reference to the personal emblem and lucky color that Nuvolari himself used on his racing cars.
Over time the collection has gained more refined executions, such as the Gold Car Collection with a sapphire caseback revealing an oscillating weight decorated with an image of Nuvolari at the wheel of his Alfa Romeo Tipo C, reinforcing the direct, non-generic tribute to the driver that has characterized the entire line since its birth.

Main Executions
The yellow turtle in the "TN" monogram is not a random decorative motif: it was indeed Tazio Nuvolari's personal emblem, applied to his racing cars as a symbol seemingly at odds with the speed that made him famous, but one the driver considered an essential good-luck charm.
