Model History
Alongside the collections that directly claim the heritage of the Beobachtungsuhren, Laco has long developed the Squad Watches line, oriented no longer toward the historic pilot aesthetic but toward contemporary professional and operational use. The brand states that it developed these watches in collaboration with organizations such as firefighters, law enforcement and military units, with the goal of meeting concrete needs for ruggedness and legibility under extreme conditions.
Compared with the Pilot lines, the Squad Watches deliberately move away from the classic Flieger graphic language: more massive cases, often around 45-46 mm, matte black finishes, screw-down crowns for superior water resistance and, on some models, a helium escape valve for professional diving use. It is a line that still keeps a recognizable Laco identity, but applies it to a register that is more markedly "instrument" than vintage watch.
Within the collection, automatic executions with Swiss Sellita mechanical movements coexist — designed for the enthusiast seeking a rugged tool watch — alongside quartz executions designed for simpler everyday use at a lower entry price. The Atacama model, available in several movement and finish variants, is the line's most representative execution.

Main Executions
Unlike the Pilot collections, which claim a direct link to the observation watches of the 1940s, the Squad Watches line was born from an almost opposite path: it does not look to the brand's aviation past but to the operational needs of those who, today, work in the field — from firefighters to dive units — while still remaining a chapter of the catalog that is declaredly "Laco."
