Rivera
Model History
Rivera is one of the most widespread women's collections in the long catalog built by Fossil Group under Marc Jacobs license between 2004 and 2019: a watch with a round case, generally around 40 mm, designed for everyday wear but with particular attention to a "jewelry" effect on the wrist, more pronounced than in more understated collections such as Baker.
The line's distinguishing trait is the variety of dial treatments: from glossy mirror-finish surfaces in gold or silver tone, to versions with crystals set along the bezel or even across the entire dial face (the so-called "carousel" variants, with crystals arranged in a radial pattern), up to bolder color variations such as dials with multicolor rainbow-effect crystals. The bracelet is almost always steel with thin links, consistent with the line's watch-as-accessory approach.
Precisely because of this decorative vocation, Rivera is among the Marc Jacobs collections most present in multi-brand stores and North American department stores during the Fossil era, often offered in several colorways at the same time within the same season, with an accessible price positioning relative to the rest of fashion watchmaking.

Main Executions
The name "Rivera" explicitly evokes a Mediterranean vacation mood (the French or Italian Riviera), consistent with the line's light-hearted, decorative tone: another example of how, in the Fossil era, Marc Jacobs collection names were chosen to evoke a lifestyle rather than a technical feature of the watch.
