Collection History
The Master collection is born in 1959, coinciding with the official registration of the Squale brand, as the catalog's most technically advanced line in terms of pressure resistance: as early as the 1960s the first executions claimed a stated resistance of up to 100 ATM, an off-the-scale figure for the period and for most contemporary Swiss diving watch production.
Like the brand's other historic references, the Master also halts production with the 1989 quartz crisis and remains absent from the catalog for a long period, until the line's relaunch as part of Squale's broader market comeback promoted by the Maggi family.
In 2024, for the brand's 65th anniversary, Squale presents the Master Titanium 120 ATM: the house's first watch made entirely of grade 5 titanium, with an asymmetric case shape inherited from Charles Von Büren's designs — crown positioned at 4 o'clock as per the brand's tradition — and a stated resistance of 120 ATM, which the brand states is equivalent to 1,200 meters: the highest figure ever claimed by a Squale watch.

Main Executions
The name "Master" has always identified, in the Squale catalog, the line with the highest stated performance: the jump from the 100 ATM of the old 1960s executions to the 120 ATM of the 2024 version marks, on paper, the highest pressure-resistance figure ever claimed across the brand's entire production.
