Diesel On
Model History
Diesel On is the sub-line through which, starting in 2017, the brand entered the touchscreen smartwatch world, using the Android Wear platform (later renamed Wear OS by Google) and the technological experience built up by Fossil Group, the licensee that around the same time developed similar smartwatches for other fashion brands in its portfolio. Diesel presented its first touchscreen model at a starting price around 325 dollars, offering it in five variants with a design described as "moto-inspired" and with eight possible strap combinations, in leather, silicone, denim and canvas fabric.
The line's stated strength is customization: seven base digital dials, each adjustable into hundreds of combinations, with special effects such as a simulated "cracked" screen for notifications and filters that change appearance based on weather conditions — a way of bringing to the smartwatch the same variety of finishes that has always characterized Diesel's analog lines.
Among the line's most recognizable variants is the Full Guard, with a 48 mm steel case, a 1.4-inch AMOLED screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor; the Full Guard 2.5 evolution, presented in 2018, adds heart-rate monitoring and a further enlarged case up to 56 mm, taking the brand's oversized-case philosophy to an extreme even in the smartwatch segment.

Main Executions
One of the original Diesel On's most unusual dial effects visually simulates a "cracked" screen whenever a new notification arrives: a playful and deliberately showy detail, consistent with the brand's creative team's stated idea of offering "many different watches in one, to suit the mood of the moment".
