Grant
Line History
Grant is one of the longest-running and most recognizable men's chronograph collections in the Fossil catalog: a classic design, round 44 mm steel case and three-sub-dial face, offered over the years in dozens of combinations of color, material and strap. More than a single model, Grant is a platform the Texan brand has continued to refresh season after season, keeping its basic layout intact while finishes and details change.
The aesthetic language is that of the "everyday" chronograph: luminescent Roman numeral indices, a screw-down or push-pull crown, solid case back, scratch-resistant mineral crystal and, in its most common versions, a brown, black or blue leather strap with a 22 mm pin buckle; steel bracelet variants are not lacking, however. Its water resistance, limited to 5 bar (50 meters), confirms a more everyday than sporty vocation, consistent with the accessible fashion positioning that has made Fossil a globally recognized name.
Within the catalog, Grant represents the most "office-ready" register among the brand's men's collections, distinct both from the bolder, more vintage cut of Coachman and from the sportier language of Fossil Blue: the name, like several others in the Fossil catalog (Grant, Nate and others), follows the brand's habit of naming its men's lines with simple American first names, in keeping with an image of accessibility rather than exclusivity.

Main Executions
Like many of Fossil's men's collections (Grant, Nate and others), the chosen name is a simple American first name rather than an evocative or technical term: a naming choice consistent with the image of a brand meant to be accessible and familiar, closer to the everyday wardrobe than to the language of high watchmaking.
