Line History
The Horizon takes its name from the horizon line, the point where sky and earth seem to meet: an image Minase translates into a case architecture built in layers, with faceted surfaces and a curved sapphire crystal that lets light in from every angle. Each case component is individually hand-finished with Zaratsu polishing, the technique that remains the brand's most recognizable signature, while assembly takes place entirely in Japan. The line was later reissued in a "Midsize" version, designed for smaller wrists and to make the sculptural language of the original Horizon accessible to a wider audience, while only the last remaining examples of the first generation are available today.

Main Executions
The Horizon's multi-layered construction shares with other lines from the brand, such as the 7 Windows, the "case-in-case" principle: a way for Minase to apply the same constructive philosophy — case within case, to create depth — to very different aesthetic languages and shapes.
