Reaxis

The colorful return of the watch that started the brand, the 2013 Axis

Model History

The Reaxis was born as an openly declared reinterpretation of the Axis, the first watch ever produced by Pinion, presented at the brand's debut in 2013. Rather than simply re-proposing the same design, Pinion updates it with a much bolder color language, taking the original collection — conceived as a sturdy, understated tool watch — toward vivid sunburst dials that completely renew its visual character.

The 42 mm 316L steel case, built in two parts with a screw-down crown, retains the everyday-watch setup that had made the original Axis known, while the case back carries the illustration of a phoenix, chosen by the brand as an explicit symbol of the project's rebirth and transformation. A detail that makes the link between the model's two generations declared, not merely implicit.

Driving the Reaxis is an automatic Sellita SW200-1 caliber, which Pinion regulates in-house across three positions to stay within an accuracy of 5-15 seconds a day: a care in regulation that the brand applies in England to every piece before delivery, consistent with the rest of the catalogue assembled at the Lancashire workshop.

Fun Fact

The Reaxis case back shows the illustration of a phoenix: a visual reference chosen by Pinion to literally represent the idea of a model that "rises again" years later with a completely new chromatic identity compared to the Axis from which it descends.
