Model History
The 900 was introduced in 2004 and, in its first executions, presented itself to the public more as a large-diameter "field" chronograph than as a true pilot's watch in the strict sense. It was only from 2009, with the arrival of the 900 Pilot variant, that the line fully took on the identity that distinguishes it today: an inner pilot's bezel, operated by a second crown positioned at 10 o'clock, which makes it possible to isolate and read a time interval without touching the outer bezel of the case.
The 44 mm case, among the most generous in the Sinn catalog, was designed to ensure good legibility even in difficult operating conditions, while still maintaining the brand's typical technical standards: sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, screw-down crown and, in the most recent versions, the Tegiment treatment for surface hardening of the steel and protection against magnetic fields up to 80,000 A/m.
Over the years the 900 range has been enriched with further variants, including executions with a black-treated case (900 Pilot S) and, from 2013, a version with the Diapal escapement, free of lubricant — a testament to how even the brand's most recent lines are progressively updated with the proprietary technologies developed in-house in Frankfurt.

Main Executions
The inner pilot's bezel solution, operated by an independent crown at 10 o'clock rather than by the outer ring of the case, is one of the most recognizable features of the 900 Pilot and is designed to prevent accidental movement of the bezel during use, a practical detail consistent with the "instrument" philosophy that has accompanied Sinn since its founding.
