Alain Silberstein
Collaboration History
In 2021 Louis Erard presented the Excellence Le Régulateur x Alain Silberstein, its first official collaboration with an outside designer: Frenchman Alain Silberstein, a historic figure of independent watchmaking in the 1990s, known for a language built on primary geometric shapes and bright colors in open contrast with Swiss classicism. On the dial of the Louis Erard regulator, Silberstein applies his stylistic signature with a yellow arrow-shaped minute hand, a red triangle for the hours and a blue serpentine seconds hand: a bold use of color on a deliberately understated technical base. The model, produced in 178 pieces per version (steel with white dial, and black PVD with black dial), won the Red Dot Award and marked the beginning of the brand's collaboration strategy.
The success led to a second chapter in 2022, Le Diptyque Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein, with titanium cases and a weekly calendar designed according to Silberstein's characteristic aesthetic. In the following years the partnership continued with new colorways and editions, up to the "Hall of Fame" collection announced in March 2026 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the partnership: an unusual continuity that makes the Silberstein collaboration the longest-running and most recognizable in Louis Erard's recent history.
The model with Silberstein paved the way for a genuine policy of the brand: making the Le Régulateur dial available to independent watchmakers, designers and outside artists, leaving each one full freedom to reinterpret it. From this openness numerous other collaborations have been born in subsequent years, all verified and documented by the trade press and the brand's official website, listed below.

Main Executions
A recurring detail unites many of these collaborations: almost all are produced in limited runs of 178 pieces, a number that has become almost a hidden signature of the Louis Erard collaboration program, repeated from edition to edition regardless of the collaborator involved.
