Model History
The Pure has its roots in one of the oldest designs in the Pinion catalogue, first presented in 2014 when the brand was still in its early days. Over the years the collection has been revised several times, up to the most recent edition, which reduces its diameter to 38 mm and reworks its proportions, bringing the model back to an even more essential reading of the original design.
The dial, available on a steel or bronze case, forgoes any superfluous decorative element: applied numerals, a small seconds sub-dial recessed at 6 o'clock, and nothing else, in line with the principle stated by founder Piers Berry of "clarity before complexity". The bronze version, with its patina that matures over time in contact with skin and environment, adds a living, personal element to an otherwise deliberately austere aesthetic.
Driving the Pure is a manually wound Sellita caliber finished with striping and blued screws, a choice that favors a direct mechanical sensation — the daily winding, the feel of the crown — over the convenience of the automatic movement adopted by other lines from the brand. As with the rest of the Pinion catalogue, the graphic design, assembly and regulation take place in England, under Berry's own direct supervision.

Main Executions
Among Pinion's current collections, the Pure is the only one to rely exclusively on a manually wound movement: a choice the brand presents as the one most consistent with the "pure" spirit that gives the watch its name, in a catalogue where automatic and chronograph movements are now the norm.
